Enhancing Clubs
According to Ken Robinson, 'Creativity is as important now in education as literacy and we should treat it with the same status’.
Extracurricular activities help children to develop their social skills and learn how to work in a team to achieve a shared goal.
This is exactly what the students in our school are taught through the fifteen (15) various clubs. The students are taught the essentials of empowerment.
Master Chef Club
The club helps students to appreciate nutritive value of food, budgeting of food. It helps students work in groups helping them to cultivate co-operation and better communication. It increases their attention span as well as interest to do bigger cooking jobs and enable students to develop entrepreneurial skills.
Kalakunj Club
The Club focus on boosting self-confidence, promoting curiosity and encouraging knowledge gathering among students. It helps in developing their imagination, artistic development, discovery experimentation emotional and creative thinking.
Nruthyakala Club
The club emphasis on learning dance styles from different cultural backgrounds resulting in increasing memory, order and sequencing skills. Dance offers a lifelong lesson in kinesthetic intelligence, increases the ways in which children communicate with their own bodies a skill that is bound to come in handy at countless points throughout their lives and also offers an alternative means of exercise.
Fashion Designing Club
The club lights up the student’s talent within the design and creativity enhancing their sharing, learning and exploring new ideas. It offers flair of creativity, impeccable personal style and originality. It offers glamourous, intriguing and astonishing career options.
Cybernetics Club
This club is concerned with providing computer enthusiasts an opportunity to explore latest technology through video making, computer programs and designing their new ideas.
Sparkler Club
The club helps in inculcating scientific temper, questioning skill among students. It assists them to learn principles, involved in robotics, working of machines and daily changes occurring around them.
Make Over Club
The club teaches students develop self esteem confidence and presenting themselves as a better individual to the world.
Googly Club
The club imbibes various skills like leadership, patience, team efforts and social skills. It helps students to increase confidence, mental alertness, team spirit and self esteem by involving themselves in various sports.
Kannada Kasturi Club
The club takes an initiative to promote the rich heritage of Kannada Language through empowering and energizing students to exhibit their skills through active participation and to inherit the insight of Kannada culture.
Samvad Club
The purpose of the club is to enhance the creativity among students by allowing them to create their own speeches, nukkad-natak and plays, compose poetry and write essays to express their feelings.
Theatre Club
The club assist in stimulating creativity in children. It changes students perceptions help them to experiment with various choices and solutions by bringing play, humor and laughter to learning.
Speak to Lead Club
The club focus on making students learn to be comfortable in front of an audience, to work together as a whole. It helps them to make them as leaders and persuade and inspire others.
Engineering Club
The club provides opportunity for students to learn basic engineering abilities like carpentry, plumbing, mechanics and electric wiring. It helps them to have experience with real world projects and prepare them for vocational profession.
Radio Jockey
This club enables students to acquire communication skills presence of mind and most importantly the skill of managing crowd and to have good general knowledge. It helps them to have creativity, sense of humor, good attitude and voice control.
Sangeethamanjari
The club objective is to encourage musical talent among students. It helps students to work in harmony, grow in self esteem, build essential skills and prepare for bright futures. Learning music enhances their memory, logical thinking and smoothening their souls.
Excursions
An excursion is defined as any activity beyond the school grounds. powerful learning takes place in the real world
Excursions are seen as an integral part of our school curriculum as they enable our students to explore, extend and enrich their learning and their social skills development in a non-school setting. Students are taken for excursions to various places annually.
